Khyati Nagar/ख्याति नागर

Hi, my name it Khyati (Kh-yaa-ti) and I lead eduKurious. I am an interdisciplinary educator, curriculum designer, researcher and career coach. My lived experiences as an internationally trained professional and a parent inform my teaching practice. My goal is to nurture confidence and joy in learners of all ages. I want my students to be excited about what they are learning and how they are engaging with their learning. I want them to come to my classes and coaching exactly as they are. I want people to become excellent independent critical thinkers and flourish in their educational and life goals. Since 2014, my students have excelled through creative writing, reading, and thinking through customized curriculum design and classes rooted in active and experiential learning.

My methodology focuses on global citizenship and draws wisdom from progressive global ideas across the arts, humanities, linguistics, design, art, craft, and the history of science and technology.

I have been teaching university students since 2002. Since 2014, I also teach and mentor middle school and high school students. I have taught undergraduate students at IIT Guwahati, India, OCADU, Toronto, YorkU, Toronto, and graduate students at Lambton College in Toronto. I hold two Master’s Degrees, one in Visual Communication Design from the Industrial Design Centre (IIT, Bombay, India), and one in Digital Humanities/Humanities Computing (University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada). I have a PhD © status at the Department of Humanities (York University, Toronto, Canada) and a certificate in Adult Education and Staff Training from Seneca College.

I am a nationally registered and certified Career Development Practitioner in Canada (since 2026).

Aranya Nagar

I am a molecular biologist and educator with eduKurious, with 8 years of experience working with younger children, all the way up to undergraduate STEM students.

My teaching philosophy is centered around getting students excited about STEM subjects by helping connect the concepts to real life examples, and trying to connect the curriculum to a student's personal interests. For me, keeping an environment where students feel safe to ask questions and grow without judgement is critical, as that is what allowed me to thrive as a student myself!

I hold a BSc and MSc in Cell & Molecular Biology (2023, 2026) from the University of Western Ontario. During my time at Western, I served as a mentor for students coming into the university and was also a TA for various biology and cell biology courses. I was a camp counselor with the City of Toronto for 4 years and have extensive experience in working and developing interactive programming for children, young adults, and adults.

Apart from teaching and work, I enjoy spending time in nature, playing guitar, and I am also an animal lover.
