What our students and parents mean to us

We are incredibly grateful to all parents and students who have trusted us since 2014. eduKurious would not be what it is today without their engagement and support. The testimonials below are evidence that Khyati’s pedagogical design and methods are a huge success! Please read their experiences in learning with us.

What Students and Parents Are Saying

“I thought your classes helped my child develop important skills such as confidence, focus and communication through engaging activities and clear guidance. My child became more comfortable expressing ideas, working independently and trying new challenges. I noticed your friendly and encouraging approach makes learning language fun and comfortable.” (Grade 7 student’s parent)”

“The classes helped me improve my grammar and learn how to write complete and clear sentences. The lessons also helped me with planning for school, especially when we practiced persuasive writing, which made it easier to complete similar assignments in class. I really enjoyed the brain joggers and creative writing activities, particularly fantasy fiction. One of the most unique aspects of the class was how fun and creative it was. Last year, for my birthday, we did a language activity based on ice cream where we created new flavors, which made learning enjoyable and memorable. Current Grade 7 student. Student since 2024.”

“I have been a student of Khyati’s for over four years, and throughout my time with her as my tutor, my writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills have grown exponentially since I first started with her in grade 7. When I first began with her, I struggled to write paragraphs within a reasonable amount of time, had shallow points, and relied on a limited vocabulary in my writing. Her engaging activities and style of teaching, which focused on what I needed to succeed rather than a preset curriculum, allowed me to improve at my own pace and address my weaknesses directly. For instance, she would create writing prompts centred around my personal interests, and we would walk through my final writing piece to analyze its strengths and weaknesses. This teaching style brought me to achieve a 98/100 in grade 11 English and created transferable skills that I use in all my high school courses. Beyond improving my English skills, we also have classes centered around my extracurricular activities and finding opportunities that align with my post-secondary goals. For example, recently, after indicating my interest in finding volunteer research opportunities at universities, Khyati taught me how to write effective emails to professors, helping me create messages that were personable, compelling, and professional. Overall, my experiences with Khyati show how she exceeds the role of a typical tutor, improving my performance in school, supporting my extracurricular endeavours, and creating transferable skills that I will continue to use in the future.
